Natalie Shobe a Mini Rex and Tan breeder from Oregon has a lovely piece which she has written on shaded Mini Rex, along with the help of many other breeders! Although I do not raise any shaded color, I love the Torts, and this article is educational for anyone breeding Mini Rex, not just the shaded! In the piece colors talked about are Black, Blue, Chocolate, and Lilac torts. The site also has a large amount of information on Seals, Sable Points and many more colors. So many to name, all are very informative, and a great lesson to learn!
Some main points in the article are breeding those colors properly, and recognizing the color(s) you are working with. Even the genetic code for each variety is listed on the site!
I would like to say Thanks to Natalie and everyone involved in making the arical for letting me feature this piece on my site! I really enjoyed it, and I hope everyone else does.
I hope you all enjoy the article! Make sure to let Natalie know how much you like it as well!
